On May 6th, the Home Health branch in Chicago is piloting the new Sign Online physician portal.
Sign Online is a secure, online connection between physicians and Horizon that provides:
• Immediate online access to patient care charts and home care documentation by displaying the patient’s demographics, medications, allergies, and orders as entered in Horizon.
• Streamlined documentation with detailed lists of unsigned documents that can be signed electronically including certifications, interim orders and Face to Face documentation.
• Care Plan oversight tracking for faster and more efficient Medicare billing for reimbursement.
• Timesheet tracking of physician time spent reviewing our home healthcare patient cases.
Sign Online will help to get more referrals, bill more timely, and improve patient care by enhancing communication between the branch and physician. Sign Online helps improve cash flow by expediting home care documentation and reducing the costs and time associated with sending hard copies to the physician. We will be gathering great feedback from the Chicago Pilot and be able to use it for future rollouts starting in May. Keep your eyes and ears open for when Sign Online goes live in your branch.
Edit: Article was edited to reflect that Sign Online will pilot on May 6th, rather than this month.
